This week, I want to give you a few choices. For some great hikes to consider this time of year:
Bandera Mountain on Snoqualmie Pass is a beautiful hike.
Noble Knob which is northeast of Mount Rainier national Park, has some great Meadows. Great views of the mountain and the gentle ascent, which is perfect for visitors and children.
Marmot pass on the Olympic Peninsula is a great old growth forest hike.
Up on the Mountain Loop Highway there is a good hike up to Goat Lake.
This is a good day hike, but there are also a lot of people that overnight. At this lake... Highly recommended.
Another area that doesn't get too much traffic, is the middle Fork Snoqualmie River, just outside of North Bend.
One hike that is a favorite of mine is near Leavenworth called fourth of July Creek. This hike has views, and it will give you a good workout. Lots of elevation gain. Well worth the trip for a day hike.
Hope you get a chance to summer to take these hikes. I highly recommend them all.
